Two minutes with Hannah Jones

Kick starting Monday with another spotlight on one of the Atticus team - this time we're chatting to Hannah Jones as part of our 'two minutes with feature'

Hannah talks us through her typical day (if they even exist!) and she gives us some insight into her career background and how she came to work with Paul and the team at Atticus...

Why development, how did you find yourself in a career in the housing sector?

After completing my law degree and Legal Practice Course I decided a wanted a more varied role than just filling in paperwork. I then worked for several years in project management in retail before looking for a chance to utilise my legal knowledge. Housing development is the best of both worlds allowing me to use both my skills in management and my understanding the legal process. My favourite part of my current role is seeing the finished development ready for families to move into.

Describe a typical working day for you - what does it involve?

The great thing about my job is that everyday is something different and I get to work with so many nice people. I am currently working on behalf of two RP clients one in England and one in Wales with both very different roles. For one I work mainly on land acquisition and for the other I do project management which really keeps things interesting.

Each day I start with checking my calendar and emails to see which of my client required my attention and then carefully plan my day. After that my days vary from hiking round muddy fields looking for land prospects to inspecting new homes nearing completion, so two completely different ends of the scale. The rest of the time I work from home with my little dog which is the absolute dream for me.

What three words would you use to describe working for Atticus?

Friendly, fast and flexible

How can Atticus help RP's with their development needs?

Atticus is flexible and made up of a wonderful team with a wealth of varying skills and experience. No matter what stage an RP is at in the development process, we have someone that can dive in and support them.
